Additional Computer skills courses if interested or required: 

In addition to the specific skills taught in the MOA program, administration skills are a requirement of the Medical Office Assistant's job. These courses are not required, for your Langara CS MOA certificate, but will supplement your resume, reinforce additional skills that need improvement, refresh previous learned techniques, and ensure you are prepared to enter the workforce with all required skills. Please email rchow@langara.ca for additional assistance

This program is designed to give you usable, relevant knowledge about health care and the office setting to prepare you quickly to begin work in the field.This module of the Medical Office Administrator certificate provides the basic knowledge and skills needed to meet industry requirements in medical office procedures; role of the MOA; ethics in healthcare; healthcare in Canada; level one of medical terminology; and medical documentation.Students must register in all three MOA modules: MOAP1100; MOAP1102; MOAP1103.

MOAP 1102, MOAP 1103

This program is designed to give you usable, relevant knowledge about health care and the office setting to prepare you quickly to begin work in the field.Module 2 of the Medical Office Administrator certificate provides the basic knowledge and skills needed to meet industry requirements in medical terminology-level 2; medical billing; electronic medical records (EMR) using Osler; and pharmacology for the MOA. Students must register in all three MOA modules: MOAP1100; MOAP1102; MOAP1103.

MOAP 1101, MOAP 1103

This program is designed to give you usable, relevant knowledge about health care and the office setting to prepare you quickly to begin work in the field. Module 3 of the Medical Office Administrator certificate provides the basic knowledge and skills needed to meet industry requirements in medical transcription; clinical procedures; anatomy terminology for the MOA; and preparing for a career as an MOA. Students must register in all three MOA modules: MOAP1100; MOAP1102; MOAP1103.
