Overview

What is Mindfulness?

Mindfulness is the ability to be fully present, aware of where we are, what we’re doing and not letting what is going on around us negatively affect us. While mindfulness is something we all naturally possess, it’s more beneficial to us when we consciously practice it daily as it has been proven to have many benefits including discipline, tolerance, calmness, and mental clarity.

What does it mean to be mindful? Whenever you bring awareness to what you’re experiencing through your senses, or to your state of mind through your thoughts and emotions, you’re being mindful. The goal of mindfulness is to tap into the inner workings of our mental, emotional, and physical processes. Research suggests that when you train your brain to be mindful, you’re physically reshaping your brain.

Our courses will deepen your understanding of mindfulness practice through strategies, meditations, and cognitive behavioral approaches that focus on how we interact with the world.
