Vancouver, BC – Langara College is pleased to welcome Jody Gordon as the new Associate Vice-President, Students (formerly the Dean of Student Services), beginning September 8, 2020. Jody brings over 28 years of experience and commitment to student success in post-secondary education (in the US and Canada) through service, teaching, and research. Key highlights of her experience include: demonstrated insight into the design of student success programming informed by experiences in the classroom as a university instructor of Criminology; demonstrated commitment to student development and student success by implementing an integrated service model that adheres to strategic enrolment management principles such as just-in-time service delivery, predicting and intervening early with at-risk students, and expanding support for learning outside the classroom. 

Jody was selected by peers to be the provincial, western region and national representative of the registrar profession and has also been the government appointment to the B.C. Council on Admissions and Transfer and chair of the Admissions subcommittee for the Council.
