Vancouver, BC – Langara College’s Virtual Graduation Celebration was held on June 17, 2020 at langara.ca/grad2020 to honour the class of 2020.
President Lane Trotter delivered a heartfelt message of congratulations, and conferred this year’s credentials. A record number of graduates – over 2,700 – completed their programs and were granted post-degree diplomas, post-degree certificates, bachelor degrees, associate degrees, diplomas, certificates, and citations.
Inspiring messages from the Right Honourable Justin Trudeau, P.C., M.P., Prime Minister of Canada; the Honourable John Horgan, M.L.A., Premier of British Columbia; the Honourable Harjit Sajjan, P.C., M.P., Minister of National Defence; and the Honourable Melanie Mark, M.L.A, Minister of Advanced Education, Skills and Training; were presented congratulating the accomplishments of the graduates. Gail Sparrow, Special Advisor to the President, snəw̓eyəɬ leləm̓ Langara College, brought greetings from the Musqueam, and Moira Gookstetter, Director, College Advancement, welcomed our graduates as alumni.

The 2020 Emeritum Awards recipients were unveiled at langara.ca/grad2020. Emeritum is an honourary title given in celebration of distinguished service to retiring or retired faculty and staff to recognize their outstanding contribution to teaching, service, or leadership in an organization.
