With deep concern, Langara College stands in solidarity with Black communities, acknowledging that this is a time of sorrow and anger for many. We recognize that it is crucial to examine the structures that allow for racism, stigmatization, and injustice against communities of colour that exist in this country.
We are committed to learning and listening, and to taking action through supporting the development of intercultural competency leading to equity and inclusion. We strive to provide a safe and open campus for all people of colour, and to be a place where experiences can be shared safely. This is a time for all of us to reflect deeply on how we can contribute to a more equal and inclusive society, and make plans to move forward together.
