Vancouver, BC – The Langara Falcons are excited to announce that Donn Sparks will be returning to Langara as the coach of the women’s soccer team.

Donn acted as Assistant Coach of the Falcon’s women’s soccer team in 2001-02, 2005-06 and 2007-07 helping them achieve back-to-back National Championship wins in the 2005-06 and 2005-07 seasons. He returns to the Falcons after his role as Head Coach at Kwantlen University and 15 years as a Provincial Head Coach.

“We are excited to be bringing Donn back to the program,” said Jake McCallum Director, Athletics and Intramurals. “He has a wealth of experience, is deeply rooted in the soccer community and has a passion for the game that can be nothing but beneficial to our program.”

“It is a great opportunity and privilege for me to be a part of the historic women’s soccer program here at Langara,” stated Coach Sparks. “One of our goals this year is to enhance the student athlete experience, both on and off the pitch, through the establishment of a successful women’s soccer program.”

The 2019-2020 PACWEST soccer season will kick off on September 7 with the Langara Falcons challenging the Douglas Royals.
