Vancouver, BC - Langara College’s department of Nutrition and Food Service Management is excited to announce a new transfer agreement with the University of British Columbia (UBC) which will allow students to transfer directly into the Food, Nutrition and Health Major at UBC.

The Food, Nutrition, and Health Transfer diploma and its associated curriculum was approved by the UBC Senate and Langara’s Education Council to allow graduates a direct pathway to the Food, Nutrition and Health program in the Faculty of Land and Food Systems at UBC. Students who complete the two-year diploma will be eligible to apply to the 3rd year of the Dietetics program or to pursue a degree in Food Science, Food Market Analysis, or Nutritional Sciences.

“We are very excited to see this transfer agreement become official,” said Monica Molag, Department Chair of the Nutrition and Food Service Management program. "This was a collaborative effort between UBC and the Nutrition and Food Service Management Department, and we are so pleased to offer our students a pathway to the Food, Nutrition and Health program at UBC.”
