Zhuhai, China - Langara College and the Zhuhai Municipal Education Bureau signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) towards the goal of providing teachers and students with excellent education and training. Under the agreement, Langara intends to work with its Chinese strategic partner, Guangdon AQG Education Consulting, to develop and deliver customized training programs for teachers in Zhuhai.

“The signing of this MOU between Langara College and Zhuhai Municipal Education Bureau reflects our special relationship, our strong intention to work together, and our common goal to provide education and training,” said Dr. Lane Trotter, President and CEO, Langara College.

The agreement affirms a partnership that aims to enhance both partners’ capacity to educate students who will be able to contribute to the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area initiative. It follows the Memorandum of Understanding on Two-Way Educational Exchange and Promotion Cooperation, recently renewed between the Ministry of Advanced Education, Skills and Training of British Columbia and the Department of Education of Guangdong Province on May 9, 2016. This renewed agreement reiterates the interest of both governments to promote two-way educational cooperation between institutions in B.C. and Guangdong.
