Vancouver, BC – Brittany Whitmore, Langara School of Management (LSM) alumna, is recognized in the fourth annual BCBusiness 30 Under 30 winner list.

“I am incredibly honoured to be named among such a stellar group,” said Whitmore. “This is only the beginning and the award inspires me to keep growing, building, and making an impact.”

Since graduating from LSM’s Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) program in 2014, Brittany has founded TEDxGastownWomen, an annual event to empower women and girls, and launched her own communications firm, Exvera

"It is a great pleasure to see Brittany’s success recognized through this award. Brittany has been an active alumna joining forces with other Langara grads and connecting the college with community initiatives such as TEDxGastown Women,” said Stephanie Koonar, Marketing Management Instructor at Langara. “Her enthusiasm and diligence continues to pay off.”

“I never expected that I would study business, or what opportunities were available in entrepreneurship or marketing,” added Whitmore. "The Langara School of Management encouraged me to find the confidence to speak up and voice my ideas. Langara was a huge turning point in my journey; I started my first business while in my second year, and my career really accelerated during my time in the program.”

The BCBusiness 2017 30 Under 30 event takes place April 13 from 5:30 to 8:30 pm at the Vancouver Club.
