Vancouver, BC – Langara is pleased to announce the signing of a Formal Articulation Agreement with Emily Carr University of Art + Design (ECUAD).
The purpose of the agreement is to develop and expand a framework of cooperation between the two institutions that will allow for students from Langara’s Fine Arts Program with the appropriate prerequisites to be admitted with third-year standing to the baccalaureate program at ECUAD.
“This is an exciting partnership that will support collaboration between Langara and ECUAD,” said Brad O’Hara, Provost & Vice-President, Academics and Students. “It will raise awareness among students about the various possibilities available to them."
The Fine Arts Diploma Program at Langara College is a study of visual arts and design, providing students with a wide set of studio skills, as well as the opportunity to specialize in one or more of the studio disciplines. Studios include drawing, design, ceramics, painting, printmaking sculpture, digital design and public art. By the end of two years, students have mastered the use of many tools from the paintbrush to the mig welder. The four-year Bachelor of Fine Arts program run through Vancouver-based ECUAD merges critical theory with community and studio practice.
