Vancouver, BC - Cooperative Education at Langara College has been awarded accreditation by the national Canadian Association for Co-operative Education (CAFCE). Langara is one of only three BC Colleges and Institutes to receive accreditation status from CAFCE, which will allow Langara students to receive transfer credit for Co-op work terms at Langara when matriculating to other institutions.

Langara has been awarded six-year accreditation status for Associate of Science Degree, Diploma in Computer Studies, Accounting Diploma Program, Financial Management Diploma Program, Marketing Management Diploma Program, and Bachelor of Business Administration: Accounting, Business Management, International Business Management, and Marketing Management.

“We were thrilled to learn that our Co-operative Education program has received national recognition,” says Leelah Dawson, Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences and Management. “This reflects both the dedication and the creativity of the faculty and staff in the Co-operative Education department. It also demonstrates that students who participate in work-integrated education through Co-op receive exceptional opportunities to obtain critical 'job-ready' skills prior to graduation, facilitating a faster and easier transition from school to work at the end of their programs.”
