The 49Women in Science Circle supports Langara female students in STEM through scholarships, bursaries, mentorship and annual events. 

Leading the Way: Building Your Career and Leadership Toolkit

Are you ready to explore the connection between leadership and career success? Join us for this 45-minute session, facilitated by Gina Buchanan, Director of Organizational Development at Langara College, and Maya Goncalves, Organizational Development Advisor. You will gain insights into leadership from different perspectives, discover the top skills employers value, and reflect on what leadership means to you!

You know the barriers and challenges of being a woman in the STEM fields. This seminar will give you valuable tips for success in science, engineering and more.

Following the seminar will be a Q&A period and networking session.

Light lunch will be provided.

The first 30 students to attend this event will receive a $10 Starbucks gift card! 

About 49Women in Science

The 49Women in Science Circle brings together successful women who want to support, create opportunities for, and have an impact on young women who study and seek to establish careers in the STEM field. Funds raised by the 49Women in Science Circle will support and nurture women as they study at Langara and move on to further education and careers. Beyond the awards, Circle members will also come together to network and mentor STEM students through a series of events hosted by the Circle throughout the year.
