June is Pride Month we are honoured to begin the month with flag raising on the front lawn in front of T Building on Monday, June 3, 2024, starting at 10:00 am.
The flag raising ceremony will include remarks by Dr. Paula Burns (president and CEO), a student representative, and a staff member. This event is open to all staff, students, and community members. No registration is required.
The Pride Flag
The Pride flag is a symbol of acceptance and love, and a signifier of struggles overcome and ongoing obstacles. It is a representation of collective solidarity as well as individual identities, and many more histories and concepts. The flag illustrates that belonging and inclusion are central to our campuses’ identity and that the College stands alongside 2SLGBTQIA+ folx in their demands for equity and support. It is a reminder that everyone belongs here.
