The Public Health Officer (PHO) has issued new orders in the Vancouver Coastal and Fraser Health Regions. In response, we are adjusting the process we follow to screen people before they enter buildings.

Beginning tomorrow morning when you arrive at the designated entrances (same as before), the Health and Safety Heroes will now ask you four questions about your health status and COVID-19, which you must answer before entering. I encourage you to arrive early to allow time for this important health screening. These new procedures are also being implemented for our employees, so you will notice that there will now be two lines – one for students, and one for employees, when you check in.

Active health screening augments our COVID-19 safety plan and protocols that we all must continue to follow when on campus. I remind all students that you must not come to campus if you are ill or feeling unwell. If you begin to feel unwell while on campus, you must leave immediately. We continue to ask those who can study at home to do so.

We are aligning this new process based on the active health screening order for employees, which is in place until November 23 at 12:00 pm, subject to change by the Provincial Health Officer.

Effective immediately, access to the CEA campus is closed to students until further notice. Equipment pick-up/returns are still possible but require a pre-approved scheduled appointment with a TA or Director of Program. We thank you for your cooperation in helping to keep our campus safe during these unusual times.

As always, your feedback and questions can be sent to us at
