Starting the Fall Semester - Online courses

For new students, and some returning students, this fall is the first semester to start with remote learning. Most courses are delivered through Brightspace, which can be accessed from the log in page. If you need help logging in to your Langara accounts, visit this helpful page from Information Technology.   

Courses are added to your profile after the instructor activates the course - this usually happens on or just after the first day of classes. It is important to check your myLangara email regularly as you may hear from your instructor before the first class. Some instructors will wait for the course to start before communicating with students. You should log in to each of your Brightspace courses as soon as they appear in your profile. 

Online courses do not have a room number in the schedule. They may have a scheduled time to meet through Brightspace (days and times will be listed on your course schedule), or they may have no scheduled time (no days or times listed on the schedule) with all course material and deadlines posted online. Some courses have a mix of scheduled and non-scheduled instruction. You are responsible for checking Brightspace for deadlines and important details for your course. Your instructor will review course expectations and provide an outline for the course during the first week of classes.
