Tuition & Expenses

International Students

Prior to September 2023 tuition for the program is $25,380 CAD. Textbooks are included. LSU fees are in addition to program fees.

September 2023 forward tuition for the program is $25,825 CAD. Textbooks are included. LSU fees are in addition to program fees.

Schedule of program payments:

  • Prior to September 2023 - Term 1 – $5,900 CAD first term commitment fee plus LSU deposit (the commitment fee covers the Term 1 courses tuition and textbooks, plus deposit for LSU fees).
  • September 2023 forward - Term 1 -  $5,950 CAD first term commitment fee plus LSU deposit (the commitment fee covers the Term 1 courses tuition and textbooks, plus deposit for LSU fees). Any balance remaining will be credited to Term 2. Note: admission closes when all the program spots are filled. 
  • Term 2  to Term 6: The course and term schedules are subject to revision. Students will receive notice of the exact tuition amounts approximately two months before the start of term with the dates on which the tution must be paid.
  • All courses in the program are required; there are no elective courses.

Domestic Students

Prior to September 2023 tuition for the program is $13,000 CAD. Textbooks are NOT included. Textbook fees are $625 per in-class term (Terms 1,2,3, and 5). Textbook fees are not optional. LSU fees are in addition to program fees.

September 2023 forward tuition for the program is $15,750 CAD. Textbooks ARE included. LSU fees are in addition to program fees.

  • Prior to September 2023 - Term 1 – $3,725 CAD first term commitment fee plus LSU deposit (the commitment fee covers the Term 1 courses tuition and textbooks, plus deposit for LSU fees).
  • September 2023 forward - Term 1 -  $3,800 CAD first term commitment fee plus LSU deposit (the commitment fee covers the Term 1 courses tuition and textbooks, plus deposit for LSU fees). Any balance remaining will be credited to Term 2. Note: admission closes when all the program spots are filled. 
  • Term 2 – Term 6: The course and term schedules are subject to revision; appropriate notice will be given to students. Students will receive notice of the exact tuition amounts approximately two months before the start of term with the dates on which the tution must be paid.

Expenses

  • Commitment Fee - Upon admission to the program, students will be required to pay a non-refundable commitment fee for Term 1 in order to be accepted into the program. Note: International students will receive a Letter of Acceptance to apply for a study permit if it is required.  
  • Application Fee - There is a $155 International / $40 Domestic non-refundable application fee, payable by credit card.
  • Medical Insurance - International students: Langara requires that all students have basic health insurance for the duration of their studies.As an International Student, you are required by law to have comprehensive health and accident insurance to provide coverage for treatment of illness or injury during your stay in BC. Medical services in British Columbia (BC) can be very expensive and cost thousands of dollars per day if you do not have valid health insurance.   • Langara Students' Union fees (including U-Pass, extended health/dental) 
  • International Education Development Fund - There is a $35 fee per semester for International students that goes towards the the International Education Development Fund, which supports international students in various ways, including financial awards and scholarships, financial aid, emergency bursaries, and other incentive awards.
