Application Process

Accessing information about the Langara RMT Program:

  1. Request additional information on the Langara RMT website:
  2. Program Coordinator sends email with detailed Program information - please attend a free RMT Program Information session (held monthly)
  3. Information session covers: an Overview of Program
    • Tour of the clinic facilities – currently on hold
    • A student clinic gift certificate for a massage with any student in our clinic. This does not take the place of the “Visit to an RMT” mandatory requirement.
    • Attend a class – currently on hold

Potential students (PS) have an opportunity to attend a class – currently on hold.

Application Process

1. Submit appropriate RMT Program application fee as a domestic or international student  

  • Online through 
  • By mail with cheque: Langara College Continuing Studies, 100 West 49th Ave, Vancouver, BC V5Y2Z
2. Submit complete application package to by the application deadline including:
  • application form,
  • all official scanned documents: high school & post-secondary transcripts and English proficiency test
  • all additional mandatory documentation requirements: see point 4
  • Please note that Langara only accepts documents that meet Langara's scanning requirements. To avoid delay, please check before you scan your documents that you are aware of the requirements. 
3.  The RMT Program Coordinator will submit all international transcript documents to Langara International Education for verification
    • Provide official documents pertaining to English language proficiency  
    • Scanned copy of test score and 
    • Proof of English language proficiency Official test scores or transcripts must also be sent directly to Langara Registrar and Enrollment Services from the testing authority or school.  
    • Official high school, college, or university transcript 
    • Scanned colour copy of high school, college, or university certificate credential (eg. Bachelor's degree) 
    • Colour scan/photo of your photo passport page 

3. After Langara International Education verification of official documents, additional mandatory RMT application package documents will be assessed by RMT Program Coordinator.

  • Introduction to Massage course completion documentation (within 18 months)
  • Visit to an RMT form completed & signed; and 1-2-page essay on form questions
  • RMT Program Admission Essay Question Answers: with research citations
  • Professional Reference Letterincluding college/university degrees and contact information


International Student payment and Letter of Acceptance process: 
  • an Offer of Admission is sent to assessed international students by email. 
  • International students must pre-pay the Semester-1 tuition, the Year 1 International Supplemental fee, and the Langara Students' Union fee before the deadline in the Offer of Admission. 
  • Once the fee is received, an official Letter of Acceptance is issued. 
  • Apply for a Study Permit at the nearest Canadian embassy or visa office (if applying from overseas). 
    • Provide a copy of your Canadian work permit or study permit (if applicable) to the Program Coordinator 
  • NOTE: International student fees are non-refundable except if the study permit has been denied. Official documentation of denial must be submitted. 
Register for your courses with the Langara CS Registration Office by phone or email. Report to Langara main campus for your first day of class.  
Acceptance to the CS Diploma in Registered Massage Therapy is based on competitive entry. Application to the RMT Program does not guarantee admission. Allow 3-4 weeks after the international application deadline for application assessment to be completed.  
Acceptance letters are sent to accepted students by email after assessments are complete. Domestic students must pay the first semester tuition to hold their acceptance space. A waitlist letter is sent to students who have not been accepted.
