Application Process

Accessing information about the RMT Program:

  1. Request information on the Langara RMT website: rmt@langara.ca

  2. Program Coordinator sends email with detailed Program information - please attend a free RMT Program Information session (held monthly)

  3. Information session covers:  an Overview of Program

  • Tour of the clinic facilities – on hold

    • A student clinic gift certificate for a massage. This does not take the place of the “Visit to an RMT” mandatory requirement 

    • Attend a class – on hold 

Preparing Your Application

Your application package must include all of the following:

  1. Application form for domestic or international students. 
  2. Official high school & post-secodnary transcripts
  3. Proof of completion of the Introduction to Massage course
  4. "Visit to an RMT" form & 1-2 page essay - Visit to RMT form
  5. RMT Program Admission Essay Questions - answer each question individually
  6. Professional Reference letter
  7. Demonstration of English-language proficiency 
  8. Copy of Canadian study permit (if applicable)
  9. Application fee ($40 Domestic/$155 International)

Application Process

  1. Submit appliable RMT Program application fee:
    • Online through feeportal.langara.ca
    • In person, with cash, cheque, Visa or MasterCard: Continuing Studies, A Building
    • By mail with cheque: Langara College Continuing Studies, 100 West 49th Ave, Vancouver, BC V5Y2Z6 
  2. Submit completed application form, with all supporting documents (transcipts and english proficiency) and supporting material to rmt@langara.ca or deliver to the attention of Program Coordinator, RMT Program (must be in by application deadline). Please note that Langara accepts scanned documents that meet Langara's scanning requirements. Please check before you scan your documents that you are aware of the requirements to avoid delay.
  3. Acceptance to the CS Diploma in Registered Massage Therapy is based on competitive entry. Application to the RMT Program does not guarantee admission. Allow 3-4 weeks after the application deadline for application assessment to be completed.
  4. Acceptance letters are sent out to accepted students by email after the assessments are complete. Domestic students must pay the first semester tuition to hold their acceptance space regardless of whether they apply for student loans. A waitlist letter is sent to students who have not been accepted.
  5. International Student process:
    • an Offer of Admission is sent to accepted students by email.
    • International students must pre-pay the Semester-1 tuition, the Year 1 International Supplmental fee, and the Langara Students' Union fee before the deadline listed in the Offer of Admission.
    • Once the fee is received, an official Letter of Acceptance is issued.
    • NOTE: International student fees are non-refundable except in the event that the study permit is denied.
  6. Register for your RMT courses with the CS Registration Office
