Willie Jang Willie Jang

Giving back to the community.

Willy Jang is a Store Manager at London Drugs, a Business alum and donor. This past year, gave back to the College by becoming a scholarship donor to help students continue pursuing their academic paths. He believes that in giving back and supporting the community. Read more about his story.

Returning to Langara.

Catherine Tan graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting in 2020. Upon graduation she joined KPMG and started the CPA Professional Education Program. This March, Catherine was a guest speaker at the Career Talks Accounting Panel. Learn more about her story.

Navigating through the world.

Liza Malkovich obtained her Post Degree Diploma in Supply Chain in 2019 and currently works as a Business Analyst at DSV Global Transport and Logistics. While studying at Langara, she joined the Leaders of Tomorrow mentorship program by the Vancouver Board of Trade and volunteered as a student mentor in the iGuide program. Last summer, she participated at the PDD Supply Chain Alumni panel. Read about her journey.

Beyond the studio.

Shane Droucker found his passion at Studio 58. Since graduating in 2000, he has worked extensively in dance and theatre, at home on the west coast of BC and abroad, while also working his way up at the Vancouver Playhouse Theatre Company where he started in the production department as a driver and became the Technical Director for the company. He is now the Director of Production at BC Event Management, and helps put together events like convocation. Learn more about his story.

Michael Espíritu Michael Espiritu

Caring for others.

Michael Espíritu is a Nurse who graduated from Langara’s Nursing program in 2018. Upon graduation he was hired at St. Paul’s Hospital and took care of Renal Nephrology, Urology and Kidney Transplant patients. After more than 2 years of bedside practice, he moved to public health practice under the BC Centre for Disease Control as COVID-19 Clinical Nurse Educator and have been heavily involved with VCH COVID-19 immunization campaign. Leadership and Community.

Tracie and Jamie Rennie are Founders and donors of the Smith-Rennie Award for Excellence in Youth Work which is awarded to the Recreation Leadership student with the most interest and aptitude working with youth. Over the last 15 years, they have also hosted over 20 Langara interns from the Recreation department. Read more about what being alumni means to them.
