Instructors Kenneth Wong and Avram Agov will lead you through a 23-day itinerary to South Korea (Seoul), Vietnam (Ho Chi Minh City) and Thailand (Bangkok), packed full of experiential learning through visits to local businesses, as well as historical and cultural sites.

By visiting various top ranking universities, including Seoul National, Korea and Yonsei in Seoul - collectively known as SKY; Panyapiwat Institute of Management in Bangkok and FPT University in Ho Chi Minh City, we offer a glimpse of university life through lectures on campus.  Students will have ample free time to explore each city on their own.  Most weekends and evenings will be kept free for your personal adventure.

Seoul, the two-millennia-old South Korean economy with over 20 million people, is the symbol of one of the Asian Tigers. Visits of cultural areas like Insadong will familiarize students with culture, history and traditions, while Gangnam will give you a sense of the trendy eateries and popular Korean cosmetics retail industry. Trips to Seoul open markets, Suwon and Yongin, where Samsung Electronics plant and other businesses are located, will provide invaluable first-hand experience for South Korean business.

Bangkok is the capital of Thailand, the only Southeast Asian nation that was never colonized by the Europeans. Strategically located at the delta of the meandering Chao Phraya River, Bangkok sits on some of the most arable lands in the region. Hence, the vibrant rice industry that produces the world famous Thai jasmine rice. Surrounded by rich historical sites including the Grand Palace and numerous Buddhist temples, Bangkok is the ideal city to observe the perfect blend of old and new.

Ho Chi Minh City (a.k.a. Saigon), offers a mix of rich Vietnamese culture heavily influenced by the French and affected by the Americans.  This rapidly emerging financial centre will present a sharp contrast to the economic models of South Korea and Thailand. Our host, FPT University, is owned by the FPT Corporation, the largest IT firm in Vietnam. FPT University is rated 5 stars by QS Stars in Job, Education, Social Responsibility and Facilities categories. Students will take part on excursions to Mekong River Delta and visit social enterprises.
