Towards an equitable future.
Everyone deserves to be treated with respect, dignity, and fairness. At Langara, we are committed to fostering equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) by creating learning and spaces where all students feel welcome and valued as integral members of our community.
While progress has been made, there is still much work to do. Currently, only 1% of scholarships at Langara are dedicated to supporting EDI, highlighting the urgent need for more funding to ensure students from diverse backgrounds and needs receive the supports they deserve. Investing in EDI scholarships is not just about financial aid—it’s about creating a more equitable future for all.
“I am passionate about supporting women, which I plan to do with my studies. Thanks to the generosity of donors, I can focus on my education instead of worrying about my finances.” - Faron, recipient of the Anne Latimer Memorial Bursary for Women
As part of this work, the Langara College Foundation is collaborating with community partners to support students who identify as 2SLGBTQIA+, BIPOC, single parents, those with accessibility needs, amongst many other communities and identities. By addressing inequities and expanding opportunities, we can ensure education is truly accessible to everyone.
