Looking for some fun and variety in your weekly lunch routine? Every Wednesday (and occasionally for special events), we invite local food trucks to come on campus and share their amazing culinary creations. Find them off West 49th, north of the security office.
Vendor FAQs
How do I plan my visit to Langara?
Use the booking form above, choose an available date and enter your information. In general, only Wednesdays are available, and weeks where classes are not in session or we have reached our booking limit (2-3 trucks) will show as unavailable.
How far in advance do I need to book?
Bookings can be made from 120 days to 4 hours in advance, but you will need to make a separate booking for each week.
Can I book for other days that I want to visit?
At this time, we are only hosting food trucks weekly on Wednesdays. On occasion, we will hold a special event and invite food trucks to participate. When this happens, we will send an email to all past participants with more details and make the date available in the booking calendar.
What are the requirements for us to participate?
Visiting food trucks must have a current and valid City of Vancouver business license, liability and vehicle insurance, health permit, and vending permit to operate.
We also require all guest vendors to follow policies and procedures in place at Langara, and to comply with any instructions given by our security team. Failure to do so may result in immediate removal from the premises.
Is there rent, commission or guaranteed minimums?
No, Langara provides the venue free of charge and there is no other agreement in place unless otherwise stated. There may be other terms in place for special events which would be communicated separately.
Is my scheduled visit confirmed once I submit on the booking form?
In general, yes. You will receive an automated confirmation email when you submit and another reminder email the day before your scheduled visit. You are also able to reschedule or cancel on the booking form by visiting the link on your confirmation email.
Failure to show on your scheduled date may result in being unable to participate going forward. Langara reserves the right to cancel or amend bookings at any time but will strive to provide notice as early as possible.
When do I need to arrive or leave by?
Start and end times are flexible but we ask that you are available for lunch and early afternoon on the day of your visit. Security may give further instructions if they need you to vacate the area.
Where is the campus and where is the designated food truck area?
The campus is located at 100 W. 49th Avenue and the designated area is north of the security office. The map below shows the 3 available parking spots which are unassigned and available on a first-come first-serve basis. If your trailer is towed, you will need to park the towing vehicle in the general parking lot – pay parking is in effect. Further arrival instructions are included in your confirmation email.
