Langara is offering a wide range of one and two-week camps this summer to help teens explore their creative and practical sides. Check out our camps below and choose the options that suits you. Discounts are available if registering for multiple camps or more than one child in a family.

In this camp, participants will go deeper into the technical and productions side of digital music and explore the software that goes into producing; will learn higher levels of music theory to enhance understanding of recording and production; create and produce their own piece. You will visit a recording studio to see what goes into professional production. Participants must have taken Introduction to Digital Music Production prior to registering for the Advanced camp.

News Alert for all of you would be graphic novel and manga artists out there! Come and explore and tap into your inner Stan Lee with this exciting introduction to the art of comic book creation. In this five day comic book camp you will be introduced to the many different aspects of how a comic book and graphic novel is created from start to finish. Participants will produce a double page spread comic book complete with a group printed anthology they can all be part of.Special Requirements: sketchpad, 05 or 08 black micron pen, ruler, 2H and dark HB pencil , white or Staedler cleaning eraser, cotton rag, roll of toilet paper (yes, you read that correctly)

Join us for a two-week journey into the world of robotics! Working individually and as part of a team, campers will build their own custom VEX competition robot and have it solve a number of challenges and run through obstacle courses. Program the robot using ROBOTIC language; work with a team to compete against fellow campers for bragging rights over having the best bot, and maneuver your way through obstacle courses. Campers should have knowledge of, and be comfortable with, coding.
