Where are the sewing courses held?
Courses are held at the main Langara College campus located at 100 West 49th Avenue in Vancouver.

What if I'm an international student?
Our courses are open to all. Currently there are no additional fees for international students.
NOTE: Please check with Langara Global , or your country of origin regarding possible study limitations on your Visa.
Are Supplies Required for Class?
Sewing Notions Kit (required for most classes) includes:
- Fabric shears – Scissors or shears for cutting fabric, students looking to purchase, wait until after first class, you will see samples and collect more information
- Paper scissors – utility scissors for cutting paper, non-fabric materials
- Straight pins – nickel plated, dressmaker quality
- Tape measure – flexible, with both inches and centimeters
- Hand-sewing needles – look for ‘sharps’
- Thread – Brand name quality thread for machine sewing
- Chalk – marking chalk or pens
- Seam Ripper – the undo tool for sewing
- Sewing Guage – used for repeat measuring small increments
- HB Pencil and eraser – tracing, pattern design mods or marks
- Pen and paper, digital device for note taking

Classes take place in a classroom lab. The notions kit will be required for most classes. Instructors will advise on Notions Kit, Project Patterns and Materials prior to first class.
Project Supplies that students require for courses:
- Patterns for projects are purchased online, and printed by the student
- Fabric and project notions are obtained by the student, with direction from the Instructor
