In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, all courses are currently held entirely online.  All Summer 2020 courses will be held online; this page will be updated with information regarding the Fall 2020 semester once more information is available.

Courses are held either at

The main Langara College campus: 100 West 49th Avenue in Vancouver  (MC)

or

Vancouver Technical Highschool (VanTech): 2600 E Broadway, Vancouver (VT)

Location will be identified on the Sewing Schedule with the 2 letter identifier of either MC or VT

You'll need to be able to access the internet, and participate in video conferencing (mainly through Zoom).  To do this, you'll need:

  • A computer, laptop, tablet, or smartphone with a stand
  • An internet connection
  • A webcam, microphone, and speakers (most computers, laptops, microphones and smartphones have these built in)
  • Space to work on your projects and see your screen at the same time.

If you are taking a practical class, you may also need:

  • A sewing machine
  • Fabric
  • Thread
  • Paper, for pattern drafting classes
  • Notions like elastic, zippers, buttons, and trim

If you'd like to find out more, schedule a one-on-one online info session by emailing jbalderston@langara.ca.

You can find a How-To guide to Zoom at:  https://iweb.langara.bc.ca/lts/how-to/zoom/
