Louisa Lam AIFD CFD PFCI
Head instructor of the Professional Floral Art Certificate Program at Langara College, Louisa is an accredited member of the American Institute of Floral Designers (AIFD) since 2009, she became an AIFD Certified Floral Judge and Evaluator in 2013, the Chairperson of the AIFD International Committee in 2015; President of AIFD Northwest Chapter in 2018, Chairperson of AIFD National Membership Committee from 2019-2021. Louisa also became the first Professional Florist Communicators International (PFCI) of the Society of American Florists in BC in 2018. Louisa was the first Canadian floral designer invited by the Fiesta Parade Float as one of the floral designers at the 129th Rose Bowl Parade in Pasadena. Louisa has been chosen as one of the featured designers from around the world by Stichting Kunstboek, Belgium, her floral designs were being shown in the book International Floral Art in 2018-2019 and 2021-2022 editions.
Louisa is one of the well-recognized floral artists and educator in North America and Asia. Being an educator, a professional floral artist, an award-winning designer, demonstrator, event consultant, newspaper columnist and TV shows’ guest, Louisa’s living and teaching philosophy are to bring happiness and simplicity through flower design to various communities of people including students and flower design professionals. Her signature floral art design style has enabled her students to continuously make outstanding and contemporary flower designs with individual personality. Louisa's floral art passion not just inspired the people in the floral industry, she also introduces and educate the public about the art of floral design.
