Medical Office Administrator (MOA)

Langara’s fast-track MOA program prepares you for rewarding administrative roles in today’s healthcare system. In just 105 hours, you’ll build the knowledge and practical skills needed to thrive in medical offices, hospitals, and clinics.

Our comprehensive curriculum includes medical terminology, documentation, billing, electronic medical records (EMR), pharmacology, and clinical office procedures. You’ll also develop the professional communication and job-seeking skills employers are looking for.

For students who speak English as an additional language, Langara offers fully funded English Language Learning courses designed specifically for MOA students. These courses strengthen the advanced vocabulary and technical language needed to succeed in both the classroom and the workplace.

Graduates are well-positioned to pursue entry-level roles as Medical Office Administrators or Assistants, or to combine this short certificate with other training for broader career opportunities in healthcare. With high demand for skilled MOAs across B.C., this program offers a direct pathway into meaningful, in-demand work.

Eligible students may also benefit from the StrongerBC Future Skills Grant, which can cover up to $3,500 of tuition costs. (insert link here). The fall 2025 registration period is now closed. Stay tuned for future opportunities.
