David Bowra Learning Disabilities Bursary is directed at students registered with Accessibility Services and have recently completed a Learning Disability Assessment or require a new one for the purpose of accommodation access. Applicants must be under the age of 30 years old at the time of the Learning Disability Assessment. (Fall and Spring)
David Cameron Bursary awarded to a student with an approved disability, who has provided Accessibility Services with documentation of the disability. Student may be full-time or part-time and have completed one successful semester and demonstrate financial need.
Jenice Mercado Memorial Bursary for Students with a Disability is awarded to a student registered in a minimum of six credits in a regular studies program. The recipient will be registered with Accessibility Services and have a permanent physical disability or mobility impairment. Preference is given to female students and recipients will only be eligible to receive the bursary up to two times during their time at Langara College. (Spring, summer, or fall)
Langara Students Union Fund for Students with Disabilities Funding for students with disabilities for costly medication, treatments, psycho-educational assessment or contribution to other costs for physically disabled students. Students must provide evidence of need for these expenditures. Preference is given to students who are registered in not less than two courses. Student must be registered with and receiving service through Accessibility Services.
R&A Koerner Foundation Community Student with a Disability Bursary is awarded to a student who is enrolled as a full-time or part-time student, in either Regular Studies or Continuing Studies. The student must be 25 or under at the time of applying, be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident, and be able to demonstrate financial need. Preference will be given to a student who is registered with Accessibility Services.
SOS Bursary for Students with Disabilities provides bursaries for students with disabilities who are in financial need, and who have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.67.
The Scott Plear Accessibility Services Bursary is awarded to a full-time student registered in a Regular Studies program. Applicants must be registered with Accessibility Services and demonstrate financial need. (Spring, summer, or fall)
Tim Cavallin Bursary for Disabled Students provides financial assistance to a student with a documented mental health, physical, learning, or sensory disability. The student must be registered either part-time or full-time, at Langara College, and must demonstrate financial need. The student will be recommended by the Manager, Accessibility Services. (Fall or Spring)
Wendy Keenlyside Bursary for Students with Disabilities are awarded to students enrolled in an academic program who have previously accessed Accessibility Services. Recipients must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 and demonstrate financial need. The recipient must have completed at least one successful term.
