Design Formation
Design Formation Faculty Bursary is awarded to full-time students in the design formation program, from second, third, or fourth term and that demonstrate financial need.
Herman Itzinger Bursary is awarded to a student who has completed the first year of the display + design program and has achieved a "B" average in first-year studio courses, and who can demonstrate financial need.
Rajean C. Salmon Bursary provides financial assistance to students enrolled in the third term of the display + design program. Students must demonstrate a high level of creativity, commitment, and determination to succeed in the program. (Fall)
Film Arts
Motion Picture Technicians Union Local 891 Bursary (IATSE) is directed at full-time students from film arts program who have demonstrated financial need. Awards may be given to one student or divided into three recipients.
Trish Robinson Film Studies Bursary is awarded to students who are registered in the second (summer) term of the film arts program, who achieved a minimum of a “B” average in the first (spring) term of the program. They must demonstrate exceptional dedication to improving their acting skills.
Fine Arts
Barry Holmes Memorial Bursary is a spring semester bursary for any full-time second-year fine arts student enrolled in a minimum of 15 credits. Students must demonstrate financial need.
Brisbin Baker Fund is a bursary available any term for fine arts students who are registered in at least nine credits and demonstrate financial need.
Journalism
Corus Entertainment Journalism Bursary is awarded to a full-time student enrolled in the journalism certificate or diploma program. The recipient will be a Canadian citizen who can demonstrate financial need.
Gwyn and Aileen Gunn Journalism Bursaries go to journalism students who are in good standing and demonstrate financial need.
Langara College Journalism Bursary is awarded to a full-time or part-time student enrolled in the journalism certificate or diploma program, and who demonstrates financial need. (Spring, summer, or fall)
Lee Bacchus Journalism Award is awarded to a student who will be entering Langara College in the journalism diploma or certificate program, and who demonstrates a financial need. The recipient must be at least 22 years old. (Spring, summer, or fall)
Penny Wise Journalism Bursary is for students who are enrolled in a minimum of 12 credit hours in the journalism program, and who have financial need.
Rick Ouston Memorial Bursary is awarded to a student in the journalism program. Applicants must demonstrate financial need. (Spring, summer, or fall)
Shelley Fralic Journalism Entrance Bursary is awarded to a student who is entering their first term of the Diploma in Journalism and can demonstrate financial need. (Spring, summer, or fall)
The Beat FM 94.5 Journalism Award goes to Langara College journalism students who demonstrate financial need as well as an interest in and aptitude for broadcasting. Students must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0. (Fall or Spring)
Photography
Dr. Lotte Arnrich Bursary is an annual bursary and provides financial assistance to a student enrolled in the professional photography program. (Fall)
Lyle Larrigan Bursary is given out in the spring and fall semesters to students who have successfully completed at least one full term in the professional photography program. Students must demonstrate financial need and have a minimum GPA of 2.5.
Professional Photography Alumni Bursary provides financial assistance to students enrolled in the third or fourth term of the professional photography program. Students must demonstrate financial need and have a minimum GPA of 2.00. (Spring/Fall)
Theatre Arts
Aliza and Chaim Kornfeld Foundation Bursary provides financial assistance for a second-year student in the theatre arts program. The student must be enrolled in the second year of the theatre arts (Studio 58) program and require financial assistance in order to complete the program.
Cheryl Swarts Bursary is an annual bursary that provides financial assistance to theatre arts students based on need. To be eligible, students must have completed the first two academic terms of the theatre arts program. The bursary will be granted based on financial need and evidence of passing grades. Preference will be given to female students. (Spring/Fall)
Elsie & Audrey Jang Studio 58 Theatre Arts Bursary is awarded to second-year students in the Studio 58 theatre arts program who demonstrate financial need.
GMC Aldrich Theatre Arts Bursary is an annual bursary for theatre arts students, either acting or production, in their second or third term who demonstrate financial need.
Port Coquitlam Theatre Society Bursary awards performing arts students from the theatre arts program at Studio 58 who have graduated from Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, Port Moody, Belcarra, and Anmore public and private high schools. (Fall)
