Description
ALL STUDENTS MUST ATTEND FIRST CLASS OF ALL WOODWORKING COURSES TO RECEIVE EQUIPMENT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS.This course has been designed for the beginner who wants to develop basic woodworking skills with an emphasis on safety. Each student undertakes the construction of a small side table and in so doing they learn the fundamentals, such as how to select and prepare lumber, how to join wood together and how to properly use woodworking machinery. Instruction is given on the safe use of miter saws, table saws, jointers, mortisers, sanders and planers. Wood finishing will also be covered including proper sanding, staining and finishing techniques. There are no prerequisites for this course.Additional material costs $75.00
