Photographic Art History

This course is a survey of the history of photography from its origins to its present state. Students explore the historical context in which the medium was invented and evolved. Photography is not a single process but rather a new way of seeing and thinking. This course looks at photographers and their styles and artistic movements in photography. Students need to be familiar with Kaltura, Brightspace, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office and have access to a computer with video capabilities.
