A native Tokyoite, Dr. Takayanagi teaches courses on Japanese society, culture, and history at Langara. She led the Japan Field Studies in 2012, 2015, 2017 and 2018.

Benjamin Wood is a specialist in Buddhism and teaches Asian religions at Langara College. He has spent over threeyears working, traveling, and studying in Japan. He led the japan Field Studies in 2018 with Dr. Takayanagi.
