Nariko Takayanagi, Ph.D.

Department of Asian Studies. A native Tokyoite, Dr. Takayanagi teaches courses on Japanese society, culture, and history at Langara. She led the Japan Field Studies in 2012, 2015, 2017, 2018 and 2019.
Benjamin Wood, Ph.D.
Instructor
Department of Asian Studies. Benjamin Wood is a specialist in Buddhism and teaches Asian religions at Langara College. He has spent over three years working, traveling, and studying in Japan. He led the Japan Field Studies in 2018 and 2019 with Dr. Takayanagi.
