Kelin Emmett

Kelin Emmett has been an Instructor in the Philosophy Department at Langara since 2021, and previously taught at UBC, SFU, and UofT. She teaches courses in ethics and social and political philosophy. She speaks some German, and has spent time in Berlin—one year following her BA in 2002, for several months in 2010 while on a DAAD scholarship, and several weeks in 2016 for personal travel.  

Rana Ahmad

Rana Ahmad has been an Instructor in Philosophy Department at Langara since 2012, and has taught at UBC, UFV and Kwantlen. She teaches courses in ethics, social and political philosophy, applied ethics and contemporary moral issues. She earned a scholarship to attend the Vienna International Summer University (VISU) at the University of Vienna while completing her doctoral studies. This was an immersive three-week course to study the philosophy of the Vienna Circle in the very institutions and settings that it was developed
