Course Description

Most of us consider communicating an innate and spontaneous activity, but the ways we communicate change over time and can be evaluated, studied, and manipulated. In this course, students examine the changing ideologies behind communication theories, research, and models as they relate to our personal and professional interactions. Students critically evaluate how concepts in communication are informed by the ever-changing marketplace, political system, ethics, social demands, and self-perception.
