Course Description
This course teaches intermediate grammar and essay writing to speakers of English as a first language who scored a level 3 on the Language Proficiency Index, or a LETN 02, or who have been recommended by the English Department. Emphasis is on teaching the essay writing skills required for ENGL 1123. A pass in the course meets the prerequisite requirements for ENGL 1123. This course does not carry transfer credit and cannot be used toward a certificate, diploma or associate degree. Graded S/SR/U.
Prerequisite(s): Speaker of English as a first language and a Langara English Test score of LETN 02 or by permission of the English department. If you have an LPI score of 22, please contact the English department chair for correct placement.
