Library Cards

Students

Regular Studies

  • Your Langara Photo ID card is your library card.
  • Obtain your Photo ID card using the AskIT Portal.
  • If you need to use library materials before you have your Langara ID card, you may use any piece of photo ID to access your account, or we can issue you a temporary Library Card.
  • Borrowing privileges remain in effect until the last day of exams in the current semester.

Continuing Studies

  • Students in some certificate programs are eligible for library privileges, which last for the duration of the course.
  • For more information about whether your course is eligible for library privileges, please contact Continuing Studies.

Faculty / Staff

Langara employees can borrow books for four weeks. The loan period for journals, magazines, DVDs and videos varies according to your needs.

Borrowing From Other Libraries

All registered Langara students, faculty, and staff can request resources not available at Langara but held by other libraries. This free service is called an 'interlibrary loan' (ILL). Questions? ill [at] langara.ca (Contact the InterLibrary Loan Office).
