If you need to use library materials before you have your Langara ID card, you may use any piece of photo ID to access your account, or we can issue you a temporary Library Card.
Borrowing privileges remain in effect until the last day of exams in the current semester.
Continuing Studies
Students in LEAP and some certificate programs are eligible for library privileges, which last for the duration of the course.

Distance Education
Any student currently enrolled in a credit distance education course offered by Langara College is eligible for Distance Library Service.
Eligibility of students in Distant Education courses offered by the Continuing Studies Department will be individually determined.
Besides serving as your library card, it will be useful for identification and security, and for borrowing or purchasing academic items at other educational institutions.
Continuing Studies Faculty: Library privileges are valid for the duration of your contract. If you need to borrow library materials or use library licensed databases outside of your contract dates, please contact Continuing Studies to arrange it.
Langara Alumni
Present your Langara Alumni Card and one piece of photo ID. Library staff will activate your Alumni Card for library use.
There is no charge for library privileges which are valid for 365 days and may be renewed each year.
The following items are not available to alumni borrowers:
The priority of the DVD and video collection is to support teaching. Alumni borrowers can view DVDs and videos in the library only.

Visitors
Non-Langara Students
Obtain a Reciprocal Borrower card from the 1st floor Check Out desk. You must present a current, valid student ID card from your educational institution.
To find out if your educational institution participates in the reciprocal borrowing program please refer to: Reciprocal Borrowing
The priority of our collection and services is to serve Langara students, faculty and staff. However, students from other BC post-secondary education institutions may use materials in the library.

General Public
Obtain a Community Borrowers card at the 1st floor Check Out desk. The card costs $15.00 and is valid for 6 months.
Senior citizens receive Community Borrower cards free of charge.
You may borrow books from our general collection in person.

DVDs and videos
Off-campus access to library databases
College WiFi is unvailable to the general public
