Welcome to Langara Library
The priority of our collection and services is to serve Langara students, faculty and staff. However, alumni, students from other institutions, and members of the public may come in and use materials in the Library.
Langara College Alumni and Retired Faculty
There is no charge for an Alumni Borrowers card, which is valid for 365 days, and may be renewed each year. Retired faculty can also obtain an almuni card, with all the privileges an alumni card gives. To obtain an Alumni Borrower Card, bring your photo ID to staff at the Check-Out Desk. Alumni must also present their Langara Alumni Card.
For details about what you can borrow see Loan Periods for Alumni & Visitors. The following items are not available to alumni/retired faculty borrowers:
- Library databases

- Reserve Materials
The priority of the DVD and Video collection is to support teaching. Alumni/retired faculty borrowers can view DVDs and videos in the Library only. Alumni/retired faculty Borrowers must still abide by all library rules. They are subject to fines for overdue items and fees for lost and damaged materials. See Late Fees & Replacement Charges for more details.
Other BC Post-Secondary Students (Reciprocal Borrowing)
Students from BC colleges and universities can obtain Reciprocal Borrower cards from Langara College Library, with limited borrowing privileges. Please note that students must present current, valid student ID cards from their educational institution to receive their Reciprocal Borrowing Card from the Check-Out Desk. See details about current participating institutions.
