In accordance with the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, we would like to notify you of a wording change to the Privacy Notice under the Langara O365 login page.
Over the past few months, IT has been making improvements to our identity management system to support ongoing cybersecurity efforts. These efforts are to keep your and Langara’s information safe and secure, and the wording change includes additional information for fuller transparency.
Previous notice:
Use of this service may result in limited personal information (i.e., name, Langara email address) being transmitted through or stored in jurisdictions outside of Canada. Your use of this service is your consent and acknowledgement that you have read and understood this statement.
Current notice:
Langara College collects personal information (name, non-Langara email address, and Langara identification number) under the authority of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, section 26(c) for the sole purpose of providing online technology services to students and employees and stores it in online systems outside of Canada.
Langara College treats personal information held in our custody with the highest degree of care and security. For questions about the collection and use of your personal information, contact the Manager, Records Management and Privacy at privacy@langara.ca.
