Security Patching/Infrastructure Maintenance


Sunday, February 16, 2020 (8am to 8pm) and

Monday, February 17, 2020 (8am to 8pm) - Family Day


IT maintenance/outage window


  • Sunday - Apply security patches to all servers, including backend servers supporting Banner services
  • Monday - Network maintenance

Customer Impact:

Most services will remain available during the maintenance but may experience brief outages of 15 minutes up to 2 hours on both days.

Examples include:

  • Network drives for students and employees
  • myFiles
  • Printing
  • Computer labs
  • Enhanced classrooms
  • Office computers using Citrix

The following services will not be impacted:

  • Workday
  • Office 365
  • College website (www.langara.ca)
  • Brightspace by D2L
  • LinkedIn Learning
  • U-Pass
