As a part of an ongoing commitment to maintain services, Langara IT continually enhances and upgrades systems and software. 

This notification outlines an upcoming maintenance window for operating system patching. 

Network Maintenance

Description Operating System Patching on all servers – Main campus and 601 Broadway campus
User Impact
The following campus services will be intermittently unavailable for up to 2 hours during maintenance:
  • Library Online Catalogue System (Limited to 10 am to 11am)
  • On campus and off campus network drive access
  • Printing system
  • iWeb
  • CourseWeb
  • Printshop.langara.bc.ca
  • Backend infrastructure services to support lab or A/V services
  • Other non-essential services
These services will be available:  
  • Student Records, Finance and HR systems (Banner)  
  • myLangara Portal
  • myLangara Student email
  • College Website www.langara.ca
  • Citrix
  • 0365 employee email
  • Brightspace by D2L
  • Lynda.com
  • UPASS
  • Internet and WIFI
  • Telephone system
  • Emergency systems

NoteMaintenance windows are selected to minimize the down-time as much as possible for critical College systems.

Questions

If you have classes or exams scheduled during the maintenance period in computer labs or will be requiring AV services, please reach out to IT Help before Wednesday, March 27 to ensure no impact will occur.
