Stefan has served as the Executive Director at Kiwanis North Shore Housing Society since August 2020. Kiwanis is one of the largest providers of affordable housing for seniors on the North Shore. Stefan manages a team of 14 housing professionals and a portfolio of 8 properties, which includes a total of 744 below-market rental units for independent seniors. He is currently overseeing the construction of a new housing development with 156 units for families and workers. This property is expected to be ready for occupancy in the Spring of 2026, increasing the number of units under management to 900.
Prior to his role at Kiwanis, Stefan held positions as the Director of Development and Asset Management and Director of Operations from 2012 to 2020 at New Chelsea Society, the third largest Social Housing Provider operating 1432 units in the Lower Mainland. He managed 20 properties with an estimated insured value of $300 million and approximately 3,500 residents there. Before that, Stefan worked as a program manager for a supportive housing project in the DTES with Coast Mental Health. He immigrated to Vancouver 15 years ago from Berlin, Germany, where he worked as a Director at a Transition Housing for people with addictions for over 10 years.
Stefan holds a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work (BSW), a Diploma in Economics, and is a trained electrician. He has completed the Experienced Professional Route Program with the Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH), leading to his Chartered Membership (CIHCM). Additionally, Stefan has obtained his Property Management, Social Housing, and Construction and Development Certificate from Langara College, where he has been active as an instructor in the Social Housing Certificate Program since 2018.
Manijeh is a lawyer with 22 years of diverse legal experience. Her legal practice includes an emphasis on mortgages, leasing, property acquisitions, development, corporate, commercial, wills,estates, and trusts law. Manijeh teaches Real Estate Law; Negotiation & Dispute Resolution; and Development Application Process.
