International Students

We welcome international students to the Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance Post Degree Diploma program at Langara College.

International applicants should apply with as much notice as possible in order for visas to be processed. We will start accepting applications on October 16, 2019 for the September 2020 cohort

For information regarding visa and immigration information, please contact the International Education department at Langara. For more information about the Post-Graduate Work Program, contact Citizenship and Immigration Canada.

Please note: the address on the application form and the passport must match or the application will be returned for correction.

International Fees and Expenses

A non-transferable deposit of $7821.00 CDN (first term tuition) is required before the Letter of Acceptance is issued. The deposit may be refunded only if the student's visa is denied by Immigration Canada. International students applying from overseas are advised to check with the Canadian Embassy in their country as to the processing time for a Study Permit (formerly known as Student Authorization/Visa).

Students may be eligible for Student Direct Stream.  If so, a minimum deposit will be required to be eligible for SDS. Please contact our International Education website for more information.

Students applying from outside of Canada who have not received their study permit in time to attend the semester they are registered for must notify the Program Coordinator in writing at least two weeks before the program start date so that the start date can be changed.

  • A $10 administration fee is charged when a new Letter of Acceptance is issued.
  • Students whose visa application is denied by Immigration Canada will receive a full refund (minus bank charges) once they submit their current refusal letter from Immigration Canada.
  • International students are required by law to have comprehensive health and accident insurance to provide coverage for treatment of illness or injury during your stay in BC. Visit the International Education website for more information.
