Natalia is the Provincial Health and Safety Manager with the YMCA BC. After obtaining a degree as a Marine engineer and working in the construction and then in the health and wellness sectors, Natalie has completed the health and safety diploma program at SFU. Her love for health led to her working as a fitness and wellness coordinator, where she helped people who were injured at work go through rehabilitation. Through this role, she became interested in health and safety, as she wanted to know what caused workplace injuries and why.
In her health and safety experience working in construction, non-profit, crown corporation and educational sectors, she has managed programs involving emergency preparedness, risk assessment, incident investigation, audit, first aid, new worker orientation etc. Teaching has been a natural progression from her passion for being a trainer.
