Admissions

You can apply through the new Continuing Studies Application Portal. Through the portal you will create your application and upload all supporting documents.

Application Fee - $155 International / $40 Domestic non-refundable, payable by credit card.

All applicants need to submit the following documents:

  • Official college or university transcript credential (scan front & back of all pages, in colour)
  • College or university credential e.g. Bachelor’s degree (scan front & back of all pages, in colour)
  • Proof of English proficiency

All documents must be in PDF format, in colour, show entire page, must include front and back, even if blank.

Students may be asked to submit additional supporting documents once their application package is received.

All applicants for the PDD in Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance (HSEC) program must submit one of the approved proofs of English language proficiency unless they are from one of the exempted English Language Countries.

Applicants from the exempted English Language Countries must still submit proof that they have completed at least four years of full-time secondary or post-secondary study in English.

Program

The total tuition cost includes textbooks/material fees:

  • $32,349 CAD for international applicants
  • $18,211 CAD for domestic applicants (Canadian citizens, permanent residents, and refugees)

In addition to tuition cost, each term there is an International Education Development Fund of $35 fee per semester for international students. This fund supports international students in various ways, including financial awards and scholarships, financial aid, emergency bursaries, and other incentive awards.

The HSEC program is a two-year full-time program with a set course schedule. Courses are delivered in mixed-mode format.

Tuesdays & Wednesdays classes are in-person at Langara College main campus. Thursdays & Fridays are online.

However, some classes might be switched from online to in-person, students are expected to be available to attend.

Class time: 3:00 pm – 9:30 pm

No classes on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.

There are six terms in the program. Students will have a scheduled term break in term 4, no classes or program fees.

This program does not offer practicum.

Successful completion of the PDD in Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance program will make students eligible to apply for the PGWP. The IRCC takes into account several factors when processing PGWP applications - please ensure you read up what you need to qualify for the PGWP.
