Jim O'Leary, M.Sc Instructor

Jim O'Leary, Instructor Jim O’Leary holds a Master’s of Science degree in GIS from University of Salzburg, a Bachelor of Technology degree from BCIT, and a diploma in Computer Information Systems from Langara College. Jim is a spatial analyst in the GIS department of the City of Vancouver and is proficient with a wide range of technologies, including Python, PHP, FME, ESRI technologies, and .NET technologies. He has been teaching computer courses part-time since 1999. Jim is passionate about GIS and sockeye salmon.

Rick Davidson, M.Ed Instructor

Rick Davidson, InstructorRick is a telecommunications technologist with a strong interest in GIS. His academic credentials include a diploma as a Telecommunications Engineering Technologist from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT), an Advanced Diploma in GIS from BCIT, a BC Provincial Instructor Diploma (PIDP), and a M.Ed. (Curriculum and Instruction) from Simon Fraser University (SFU). Rick has been creating technical training materials for many years and currently teaches technical courses for the Light Brigade and NAIT’s Corporate and International Training division.
