Generous community support has ensured the ongoing success of student and alumni initiatives since we began more than 10 years ago. Throughout the years our students have initiated films that have highlighted local, regional and national issues in collaboration with a diverse range of community based organizations and businesses.
Students have written, produced and directed award winning human rights and social justice films on topics ranging from neighbourhood initiatives to combat addiction and homelessness to the struggle against international human trafficking. Our students have gone on to complete productions in communities across Canada and as far away as Cuba, Ghana, India, the USA and the Antarctic.
We acknowledge the ongoing, invaluable contributions of community partners including Cineworks, Pacific Cinematheque, Provision, Reel West Publications, Shaw Television, Vancouver Chapter of Women in Film and Television and Voyage Media Productions Inc..
Is your organization in need of media exposure and seeking community partners? Are you interested in partnering with our students and alumni? Please contact the Program Coordinator Annat Kennet to discuss how we can work together to benefit our communities.
We look forward to continued community and industry partnerships supporting our students and promoting your organization.
