Enrolment is first come - first served basis. Seats fill up quickly.

All classes are in-person.

There are four courses for the Dental Reception Certificate program (DRCP 1000, DRCP 1001, DRCP 1002, DRCP 1003). 

  • Sept-Dec: registration opens mid July 
  • Jan - Apr: registration opens mid November
  • May-Aug: registration opens mid March

Please note:

  • All courses must be taken together
  • As the program fills up quickly, it is advisable to register as soon as registration opens for the upcoming term (approximately 6 weeks prior to the term start of January, May or September). Please check online at www.langara.ca/cs for the registration dates, or call 604.323.5322 to confirm.
  • Students should understand that this is an intensive, fast-paced program with at least five hours of homework per week
  • While there is no application process or proof of English skills, it is essential participants have a good command of oral and written English as it is important for correct understanding and spelling of dental anatomy and terminology, for exams, and oral reports. Recommended: Grade 12 English or equivalent 
  • Applicants need to be adaptable, open to new concepts, must have basic computer skills and ability to learn new processes. This program will be using Exan PowerPractice, a specialized dental database, which can be challenging
  • Typing speed of at least 35 wpm:  You will not be tested on your typing skills, however to gain employment in the industry you will be expected to have a minimum of 45-50wpm. Additional training in keyboarding skills may be found at www.langara.ca/abc
  • Exan PowerPractice is not available to purchase or download to take home. It may be accessed only through a Citrix computer lab at Langara College.
