Instructors
Our instructors have extensive experience and when they are not teaching our students, they work as industry experts, consultants, international speakers or managers.
Isabel has over 15 years’ experience as an IT trainer. She is a certified bookkeeper and is knowledgeable with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage 50 and ACCPAC. She has previously been an instructor in Continuing Studies Typing/Keyboarding, Windows File Management and MS Office courses and has software experience in the dentistry industry.
Anu holds a Master Degree in Ecomonics, a Master Degree in Education and has over 17 years of experience teaching Computer Science in the DAV Public School in New Delhi. Her past experience also includes: computer programming and writing books for grades 3-5 elementary pupils. Anu recently completed the Office Administrator Program at Langara and is currently enrolled in Web Development course work at BCIT.
Marcus has been employed as an IT Professional since 1994 and has been a instructor at Langara since 1999. He began teaching office and accounting software but now focuses mainly on creative and web design applications. When Marcus is not teaching for CS, he can be found facilitating many of Langara's employee workshops.
Shelly has over 25 years experience in the field of computers and technology. She is an international trainer with background in business and training in the corporate sector, adult continuing education, and academia. Her expertise is in software training and consults on the effective use of computers for international sales and marketing in business and industry. Shelly currently teaches many of the Microsoft Office applications in the Computer Skills for the Office Certificate Program.
Luis works as a full time corporate trainer in Microsoft Office suite of programs. His credentials include the Provincial Instructor Diploma, Microsoft Master Instructor and Certiport IC3 Instructor certification. Although he regularly instructs roughly a dozen applications he enjoys teaching Excel the most. To provide his students meaningful learning experiences he frequently incorporates real world business scenarios into his spreadsheet exercises.
