Course Description

Students explore and apply advanced levels of serigraphy (screen printing), which were introduced in Foundation Printmaking. Students use sophisticated registration systems and layering techniques, including both hand-drawn and photographic stencil creation. Incorporating presentations on the history of serigraphy (screen printing) and contemporary applications and examples, the primary focus of the course is the hands-on exploration of these various techniques.

Registration in this course is restricted to students admitted to the Diploma in Fine Arts.

Prerequisite(s): A minimum "C-" grade in all of the following: one of the following: AHIS 1112, 1114, 1212, 1214, 1301, or 1302; three of the following: FINA 1111, 1131, 1142, 1143, or 1220; and FINA 1120, 1161, and 1171.
