Vancouver, BC – The Georgia Straight today announced their 23rd Annual Best of Vancouver awards. Langara College Continuing Studies is proud to be Runner-Up in the category Best College/School/University for Continuing Education, placing second behind the University of British Columbia.
“Thank you to everyone who voted for Langara Continuing Studies in the Best of Vancouver survey," said Dan Thorpe, Dean, Continuing Studies. "With so many great programs in the city, it's a real honour to receive this award.”
Thorpe credits the program coordinators who are responsible for keeping programs relevant and high-quality as well as the instructors who are passionate about lifelong learning.
"Our instructors teach because they have relevant, professional knowledge they want to share," says Thorpe. "This award is the best recognition we can receive, coming as it does from the most important people in our programs: the students.”
This is the third year in a row that Langara has placed in the annual survey. Langara College Continuing Studies supports a diverse group of students through a range of part-time and full-time programs and courses in business, health, languages, technology, and the arts.
